Music is played at the 9.45 am Mass

Music has long been an integral part of the liturgical rites of the Catholic Church - liturgical music enriches and enhances all aspects of our celebrations. The music at the 9.45am Sunday Mass is led by a group with several different instruments. If you play an instrument and would like to get involved, please get in touch with the parish, and ask for Alison Jackson.

At St. Aidan's our aim is to involve as many musicians as possible who would like to play and we especially encourage young musicians to join us.

We have a group of musicians that plays at the 9.45 am Sunday Mass. We have members playing a variety of instruments - keyboard, guitar, flute, clarinet and violin but we are always very keen to welcome new members on any instrument, of any standard, and of any age.

The group practices monthly in the parish room.

As well as the 9.45 am Sunday Mass, the group also provide the music for the celebrations of Confirmation and First Communion and usually plays at the evening Mass on Maundy Thursday.
